1. What makes Yeshivas Emek Davar different from other programs?
We combine a serious, growth-oriented Torah curriculum with genuine personal attention. Every talmid learns under close mentorship, gaining not only knowledge but direction and confidence for life.
2. Where is the yeshiva located?
In Ramat Beit Shemesh Daled — a calm, safe, and Torah-oriented environment with easy access to Jerusalem and central Israel.
3. Who are the Rosh Yeshiva and key staff?
The yeshiva is led by Rabbi Menashe Bleiweiss, a veteran mechanech with over 40 years’ experience, and Rabbi Rephoel Lemmel, Administrative Director, who oversees operations and student life.
4. What kind of supervision is provided?
Staff members are present on site and maintain open communication with students and parents. The yeshiva emphasizes responsibility and trust within a warm, structured framework.
5. What about safety and security?
Security is handled in coordination with local authorities. The campus remains locked at night, and students are guided about travel and safe conduct.
6. What is included in tuition?
Tuition covers learning, dorm housing, three meals daily, basic trips, and supervision.
Not included: airfare, medical insurance, personal expenses, optional outings, or laundry fees.
7. What is the payment schedule?
Tuition is processed through FACTS, with full, half-yearly, quarterly, and monthly payment plans available.

8. Is there a registration fee?
Yes — a non-refundable $250 fee due upon registration to secure your son’s place.
9. How can parents communicate with staff?
You can reach us anytime via email or phone. Regular updates and newsletters will also be sent, and you’ll be informed before major events or trips.
10. Are there visiting opportunities?
Parents are welcome to visit. We recommend coordinating in advance so your visit fits smoothly with the program schedule.

If a student withdraws early, partial refunds may apply depending on timing:
• Before Sept 15 – 75% • Until Dec 1 – 50% • Until Feb 15 – 25% • After Feb 15 – none.
(Registration fee is non-refundable.)
13.Are there breaks or vacations during the year?
Yes. There’s a short mid-winter break in December and a Pesach break in spring. Students may also travel home if parents wish.
14. How do travel arrangements work?
Families handle all flights independently. We’ll coordinate arrival times and provide guidance for transportation to campus. Return transport at year-end can be arranged on request.
15. What about baggage and storage?
Students should bring personal linens, towels, and basic necessities. Storage for luggage is limited; lightweight packing is advised.
16. Are Shabbatons and trips mandatory?
Yes. They’re an essential part of the program, reinforcing friendships and Torah experiences beyond the classroom.
17. Is there internet access or phone policy?
Phones are permitted; we rely on maturity and good judgment. Access to filtered internet will be available in specific public areas.
18. How are laundry and housekeeping handled?
Washing machines are available on site for a small per-use fee.
Students are responsible for keeping their rooms tidy.
19. Is financial aid available?
Yes — need-based scholarships exist in limited quantity. Applications can be made through the yeshiva office.

Elul Zman
- Begins: Tuesday, August 25th

Winter Zman
- Begins: Tuesday, October 6th
- Ends: Rosh Chodesh Nissan – Wednesday, April 7th

Summer Zman
- Begins: Sunday, May 9th
- Ends: Shiva Asar B’Tammuz - Thursday, July 22nd

Tuition & Financials
We understand that choosing to send your son to yeshiva is a big decision, and we strive to make all financial matters clear, fair, and manageable. Below is the schedule and policy as currently modeled.
- Tuition (including room & board): $29,000 USD
- Registration Fee (non-refundable): $250 USD
All tuition payments are processed exclusively through FACTS Tuition Management.
Once the admissions process is complete, parents will receive instructions to set up their FACTS account and select one of the following payment plans:
- Payment in full
- Two payments
- Quarterly payments
- Monthly payments
FACTS charges an annual administrative fee of between $25 and $55, depending on the payment plan selected.
Tuition payments cannot be made directly to the yeshiva by check, bank transfer, or credit card.
We believe that no sincere talmid should be turned away due to financial hardship. We offer limited need-based scholarships, subject to availability.

If a student discontinues enrollment partway through the year, the following refund schedule generally applies (based on total tuition obligation):
- Before September 15 75% refund
- Until December 1 50% refund
- Until February 15 25% refund
- After February 15 0% refund (none)
(Note: “Refund percentage” refers to the portion of tuition owed by the parent, which reduces how much they must pay.)
The registration fee ($250) is non-refundable and must accompany registration.
Credit card payments will incur a 2.7% fee to cover processing costs.
All post-dated checks or transfers should follow the schedule above.
Before we accept your son’s place, the registration fee must be received.
